Recently, I was thinking about how much Inntopia accomplished in 2020. Even during the chaos and unknown caused by the sudden onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, our engineering teams were hard at work building important and useful features. Thinking that some of you might have missed the release announcements, I’ve shared the highlights with you:
We added a new, convenient payment option in 2020: Affirm. The ability to buy-now-pay-later has become a popular choice for consumers as a more transparent alternative to credit cards. Affirm has no hidden fees and lets consumers choose their payment plan. It can also be enabled alongside your current credit-card payment options. We recently held a very informative and engaging webinar with Affirm; if you missed it, you can watch it here.
If you work at a resort that uses Siriusware 4.8, you’ll be excited to learn that Inntopia can now process line-item cancellations that downstream to Siriusware. This important feature will improve your resort’s operational efficiency and reduce issues caused when items are not cancelled properly in both systems.
Two new settings were added to our existing Product Bundle functionality. The Per-Itinerary Bundle setting determines if the bundle applies to the entire itinerary or to a single product. This is particularly helpful when applying a fee to an itinerary that would be inappropriate to apply to each product associated with the bundle.
The Advance Booking Days for Bundles setting provides an advance booking window during which a bundle is offered. This is useful for putting time constraints on shipment or delivery of products, such as lift tickets.
If you allow guests to select multiple options from a group of customer requirements, Inntopia now supports that. Depending on the type of requirement and options, you can also choose to force unique selections so that the same item cannot be used more than once.

An expanded integration with BookingPal is now available. This two-way integration offers a connection between property management software systems and the Inntopia Commerce platform, opening up inventory to resorts and tour operators using Inntopia Commerce and Agentopia. Inntopia’s integration with BookingPal gives users the ability to sell live inventory from other suppliers either independently or along-side their own tickets, tee times, or resort products.
While this wasn’t officially released until just after the new year, our engineers diligently built it in 2020. By eliminating the need to always create new promotions from scratch, the new Copy Promo feature, which lets you copy previously-created promotions, makes the entire process of promotion building more efficient and less time-consuming. The copy process is simple and includes the ability to make minor changes to the promotion settings such as description, available dates, and discount amounts.
One last thing…if you have guest credits you’d like to see redeemed, we can help. Through a robust integration with Inntopia Marketing Cloud, we can send reminder emails to your guests listing any resort credits and their expiration dates. This is a great way to encourage the guest to go back to the resort since the idea of losing money already spent will inspire them to book a future trip.
