With our weekly marketing insights maxing out the “fun-meters” of our readers, we felt it was time to deliver a holiday feature of our own with some cheery insights about sending on holidays, but not about them. Take a gander.
The Goods
We looked at about a million and a half emails to see if Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick is getting the love he deserves or snubbed by email openers all over the world.
Here’s what we found:
So, the lesson is simply this: sending emails as Santa shimmies down chiminies is a-okay, you’ll get above average opens. However, don’t you dare talk about him (or Christmas for that matter), or you’ll be sorry when you check your stats the next day.
What This Means
While these are real stats, don’t take them too seriously. Unless, of course, you believe in Santa. In which case, we can neither confirm nor deny that, knowing what you now know, intentionally snubbing him from your subject lines will land you on the naughty list.
