RTP AND INNTOPIA PARTNER TO OFFER TURNKEY SINGLE-ITINERARY SOLUTION GIVING DESTINATION VACATION OPERATORS BUILT-IN ACCESS TO NUMEROUS DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS
– Destination Resorts and Attractions Can License RTP|One Itinerary, the First Out-of-the-Box eCommerce and Central Reservation Solution, to Smartly Package and Sell All Destination Travel Elements in One Transaction –
AVON, Colo. – Destination resorts and attractions will be able to license out-of-the-box technology to easily package and sell all travel elements – transportation, lodging, tickets, activities, rentals, lessons and more – in one transaction using the RTP|One Itinerary turnkey solution from RTP, LLC and Inntopia.
Operators using RTP enterprise commerce software will be able to offer unique and comprehensive vacation packages without having to develop custom itinerary technology with RTP|One Itinerary. This technology integration allows resort and attractions operators to flexibly bundle their own products – and those from multiple built-in partners — for the highest yield. The solution offers:
• One-stop, one-itinerary, comprehensive shopping for consumers with access to transportation, lodging, tickets, activities, rentals, lessons and other products
• The ability to offer unique packages not available elsewhere
• Items typically not available for advance purchase
• The ability to better manage lodging yield and truly manage to the last room available
The RTP/Inntopia integrated solution reduces labor costs associated with exchanging data between service providers and patching together itineraries, information and billing. The integrated solution increases accuracy and operators’ ability to manage the yield on tickets, lodging and other items that have flexible pricing and inventory constraints.
“Our system is configurable, so each operator can apply its own business rules while having great flexibility in offering an extensive assortment from which consumers can select and purchase in a single transaction,” says Trevor Crist, president of Inntopia. “This turnkey integration eliminates the need for operators to manage complex system integrations, and instead focus on their core businesses. Additionally, RTP|One Itinerary greatly reduces the need for consumers to shop multiple sites and increases the likelihood of consumers booking all elements of their trip through the operator.”
Michael McDermott, RTP’s executive vice president, adds, “As a company delivering commerce technologies, we see great value in open and dynamic business platforms that provide highly integrated and flexible solutions to both the destination operator and the end consumer. Everyone wins when both the destination operator and consumer can build the right packages at the best value to meet their needs.”
Consumer itineraries will be under master confirmation codes with a single charge (or payments as defined by a schedule) instead of separate charges from airlines, resorts, car rental companies and other providers. Account numbers for consumer loyalty programs such as frequent flier miles can be added during the reservation process.
