In this series, we introduce members of the Inntopia family. This month, meet:
Kendall Wilson, Marketing Cloud Account Manager
Kendall is one of those incredibly well-rounded individuals. At work, simply put, she is kind, patient, and a most logical problem solver, making her an invaluable team member. In her private life, well…she is equally as amazing, taking part in challenging hobbies and adventures, and contributing to meaningful causes and movements.
Pascale: Let’s start with the basics. Name, location, family, and background.
Kendall: My name is Kendall Wilson. I live in Green Mountain (near Golden), CO with my husband, Pedro, and our pup, Osa. Prior to Inntopia, I worked as a CRM analyst at Vail Resorts in Broomfield. I have been working at Inntopia for almost 3 ½ years.
Pascale: Do you volunteer for any non-profit?
Kendall: This year I am volunteering with the Women’s Bean Project. The organization helps less fortunate women break the cycle of poverty by employing them to create soup mixes (find them at your local grocer!). It also teaches them valuable skills such as team building, resume creation, how to apply for jobs, how to nail an interview, and tools for success in the workplace.
Pascale: What is the most challenging thing that you have ever done?
Kendall: Running the Vail Mountain Half Marathon. Over 2,000 feet of vertical gain… never again.
Pascale: Growing up, what sports, activities or pastimes occupied most of your time?
Kendall: Growing up, I participated in a lot of sports, as I wasn’t very good at having “free time.” Competitive snowboarding took up the majority of my time. I only went to high school from 8:30 – 11:30am, and the rest of the day was spent on snow…
Pascale: Favorite sports team, and why?
Kendall: I don’t really follow too many team sports, but I find the US Women’s Soccer team the most inspirational group of women out there.
Pascale: Something unique about yourself that most people don’t know?
Kendall: I have a green thumb. I started collecting houseplants when I moved into my first apartment because it had a giant, west-facing window and now, nearly ten years later, our house is basically a jungle (but there’s always room for more).
Pascale: Any other hobbies you fill your time with outside of work?
Kendall: When I’m not snowboarding in the winter, I’m riding my Triumph Bonneville motorcycle in the summer. Colorado has some of the best roads for riding and it’s been amazing to explore parts of the state that I never would have seen in a car.
Pascale: What are your hopes for the future?
Kendall: That the world starts collectively caring more for Earth and takes action to reduce future damage to this beautiful planet we just so happen to inhabit.
