Tis’ the Season Pass Season

Last month Inntopia announced the official release of a new Season Pass Module after hearing from resort partners that season pass sales were a pain point and anything Inntopia could do to facilitate the process would be welcome. Little did we know just how positive the reaction would be.

The day after we announced the release, I was at the NSAA Western Conference in Snowbird, Utah. Even though attendees were at a trade show and likely not monitoring emails, my colleague and I were approached by folks from multiple resorts interested in learning more about our new module. Some GMs had even gotten texts from their marketing colleagues back home telling them to visit our booth. We gave several on-the-spot demonstrations showcasing season passes for different age groups, different payment plans, and our new features in the Responsive Commerce check-out path.

Over the following weeks since the launch, we have conducted back-to-back demos of the Season Pass Module for multiple resorts. Since it is based on our existing technology, the merchandising of the pass products is familiar to our existing partners. But what really impressed many resorts are the features that alleviate major headaches of on-line season pass sales: photo uploads and release of liability waivers. Our new module includes an intuitive photo uploader tool and can also handle multi-section liability forms electronically. All of this pass information can then be pushed from Inntopia to resorts’ Point of Sale (POS) systems.

After witnessing easily uploading pass photos for a family, e-signing multiple releases of liability, and the streamlined Responsive Commerce check-out process, viewers’ enthusiastic comments have included: “We totally need this now!” and “This is so much better than our current solution.”

While giving consumers the ability to buy season passes online is not new, with Inntopia’s Season Pass Module our partners can now complete the whole process, including photos and release of liability waivers. Resorts can then print and either mail the passes or leave them at the ticket window ready for pick-up during the preseason. This eliminates hassles for the resort but more importantly, by eliminating the dreaded season pass pick-up line, it gets skiers and riders on the slopes the moment the first snow flies.
