Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports, a non-profit organization that Inntopia is proud to support, held their fifth annual Adaptive Ski Day this weekend. Sixteen athletes from all around New England traveled to Stowe Mountain Resort to participate. Through the generous support of Inntopia, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, lessons and clinics were offered for all athletes.
Several Inntopia employees volunteered in the day of fun, both on the hill and off.
Some got the chance to participate in the clinic, supporting the athletes and learning a few new ski tricks from Geoff Krill, Executive Director of Eastern Adaptive Sports. He taught the group about improving their turn shape, emphasizing that the able-bodied skiers could also work on their turn.
Others stayed inside at registration making sure the event went off without a hitch.
All around it was a successful day. Thanks to the athletes, volunteers, and coaches who participated. We were happy to be able to contribute to such a great event.
