Treetops Resort, the Midwest’s “must-play” golf resort, announced a partnership today with Inntopia, the Vermont-based provider of innovative marketing, commerce, and business intelligence solutions for the travel industry. Treetops Resort will use Inntopia’s Marketing Cloud to automate its CRM and email marketing campaigns, as well as the company’s Commerce platform to begin selling rooms, tee times, lift tickets, and other products and activities from a single responsive online platform.
The move to Inntopia will help Treetops Resort take advantage of a $4.5 million renovations and improvements program that the resort began last November. With 81 holes of spectacular golf, the resort is considered by many to be the best collection of golf anywhere in the country, and the newly remodeled rooms and lodges will complete the guest experience. The four-season destination also offers a full-service spa, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, meeting facilities, wedding venues, and world-class golf lessons. Selling such a wide variety of products and services to guests was providing some challenges to resort management.
“We wanted a system that could automate our marketing campaigns to segmented groups of guests with very targeted offerings that tie in to a robust and easy-to-use eCommerce platform,” said General Manager, Barry Owens. “We have a lot to offer, and it should be just as enjoyable to purchase a vacation from us as it is to experience one. This partnership will improve our reach and efficiency, and result in an even better end-to-end experience for our guests. We think Inntopia will help us attain a spectacular ROI on our recent multi-million-dollar improvements.”
Inntopia’s Marketing Cloud will enable Treetops to automatically collect guests’ pre- and post-sale behavior into centralized profiles via direct interfaces to their operating systems, pull additional information from third-party sources, and use all that data to create individualized marketing that drives engagement and improves revenue.
On the sales side, Inntopia’s Commerce platform will provide a two-way interface with SMS|Host, Treetops’ property management system, as well as Club Prophet, the tee sheet and POS system used by the resort. These integrations will enable real-time inventory and pricing for tee times, guest rooms, spa services, and other activities and products, directly from their website.
