Inntopia is pleased to announce that it has attained Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 Service Provider Compliance. This compliance level is the highest attainable and is the same level required of financial institutions.
PCI DSS compliance is a measure of the security that is inherent in every aspect of a software provider’s business. Inntopia is one of only a handful of travel reservation systems that have achieved this level of compliance. Level 1 Providers are held to much more stringent requirements including a complete onsite audit of the company and its security practices. They are also subjected to an ethical ‘hack’ of their systems by a qualified third party to determine if any breaches can occur. Based on these and numerous other requirements, recommendations on altering practices and closing security risks are made and must be adhered to before compliance is granted. This level of compliance requires a significant investment in staff hours, process integration, hardware implementation, software manipulation, auditing costs and ongoing maintenance.
“We are very pleased to receive this level of compliance accreditation,” said Inntopia CEO Trevor Crist. “Providing this level of security to our partners and ultimately the consumers who use our technology is incredibly important to them and to our continued strength as a company.”
Inntopia is the most robust advanced reservation systems in existence. Inntopia’s innovative solutions provide reservation technology and services to destination marketing organizations, ski resorts, vacation resorts and tour operators as well as lodging, activity, event, and transportation suppliers.
