Inntopia, leading provider of e-commerce reservation technology and services in the destination travel industry, moved its headquarters to 782 Mountain Road, in Stowe, Vermont. Inntopia, which was founded in the resort town of Stowe, was operating out of three separate spaces in the town. Inntopia will continue to maintain offices in Colorado and Zurich, Switzerland but over thirty employees relocated to the new Stowe office.
This year Northstar Travel Media became the majority shareholder in Inntopia. Other partners in the company include Inntopia’s founder and CEO, Trevor Crist, Aspen Skiing Company, and Intrawest Resorts Holdings Inc.
“We are pleased to be consolidating three office spaces and have the majority of our employees under one roof, as well as maintain our Vermont base,” said CEO Trevor Crist. “Since 1998 Stowe has been a great home to Inntopia, and continues to be even as our company expands into new territories both nationally and internationally.”
Interior architect and designer, Tania Kratt, helped to provide a fresh look for Inntopia’s new headquarters. The primarily open floor plan includes custom workstations, modern furnishings, and community/fun elements such as a foosball table for breaks and friendly competition. A welcoming lounge and kitchen area can also double for impromptu meeting or workspaces.
There is also outdoor space for company gatherings (Vermont weather permitting) and it is located just across the street from Cady Hill Forest, which includes 11 miles of trails for recreational activities including hiking, biking, running, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Just some of the many perks of Stowe.
Inntopia’s global clients include destination resorts, ski resorts, tour operators and travel suppliers. Its platform was developed to enable travel resellers to package and sell a wide range of non- traditional travel products, such as vacation rentals, activities and tours. Inntopia also supports more traditional products, such as air, car, and hotels. The company supports dozens of third-party application programming interfaces, including popular property management systems, point-of-sales systems, global distribution systems, website analytics packages, accounting systems and more. Inntopia offers affiliate and agent commission payment processing services to its clients. Although Inntopia has established itself as the leading cloud-based platform in the North American mountain travel industry, the company continues to move into new markets, such as golf, water parks, and beaches.
Inntopia is a member of CRADR (Central Reservations Association of Destination Resorts), DMAI (Destination Marketing Association International), New England Visitor Center Association and the Stowe Area Association, among others. The company is also committed to supporting charitable organizations locally and beyond, including The Chill Foundation and Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports.
