When we first wrote The Ultimate Guide to Resort Marketing Automation I remember debating what to name it. On the one hand, “Ultimate Guide” ran the risk of sounding cliché. On the other hand, it really was the most accurate way to describe what we’d created.
We’ve always had the cleanest data, we’ve always had the most experienced account managers, we’ve always been the best at getting emails to the inbox, we’ve always had the best data around what’s working, and every day the Inntopia Marketing Cloud team works side-by-side with the Inntopia Commerce team to blur the lines between our booking engine and marketing CRM.
This guide ended up being a perfect blend of all of those things
The account management chipped in with “Pro Tips”, we collaborated on simple instructions for how to trigger each message, and we even mocked up what each of the templates could look like. It covered more campaigns with more detail than any guide I’d ever seen on the subject by a huge margin. So, cliché or not, the “ultimate” title stuck.
The book has been downloaded and shared more than a thousand times, but it wasn’t until we updated the book last year that we realized just how much demand there was for a physical version. We had printed a handful of the first release that we set out at our user group in September but they were gone before we got halfway through the conference.
So, I put my head down last fall and got the new version ready to print. Our team is super proud of how it turned out and how helpful it has been to those teams have used it.
