Security has always been a priority, it’s why we’re one of only a tiny group of travel technology companies to have achieved ISO 27001 certification. Uptime is also a top priority which has been critical with the surge in online bookings during the pandemic.
But this isn’t a box we check, it’s a central part of our vision. Here are two ways we’ve been pushing on this front over the last year.
The first is the release of a two factor authentication system for CRS and RMS. This helps ensure that only you and your team are the ones accessing your account. And while this feature is live, we’re continuing to enhance this functionality around it with new updates and authentication options coming in the near future.
Similarly, we’re also working on additional enhancements that allow customizations to user passwords and sessions to increase the security of every login.
As cloud computing platforms like Azure have become increasingly robust and secure, we’ve made plans to move more of our platform to these systems to give us additional, on-demand capacity. In the last year or so, we’ve ramped up these efforts.
As we prepare for the 2022/23 winter season our engineering team has set a goal to increase our capacity by 20% and has been working extremely hard to migrate more of our read-only traffic to these cloud resources.
Long-term, more and more of our system will be moved to Azure to increase scalability, speed, and security.
