We have all been there. While standing in line, riding the train or bus, sitting in the drab waiting room at the dentist’s office—you realize you have a “free minute!” They are rare, precious, and short lived. All you want to do is take a quick peak at the menu of the new restaurant around the corner, maybe see how much the ticket prices are for a local art show you’ve been eyeing, or even something as simple as find out show times for the movie you plan to take the kids to this weekend. Your “free minute” turns into several minutes wasted ona website that never loads or is impossible to navigate. The free minute is gone. You give up, leave the site, and add the task to your endless to-do list.

It’s frustrating and disappointing as a consumer to waste precious time on a poorly designed website. That same frustration and user experience exists if your guests are viewing your site from their mobile device and the site is not on responsive design. It can result in lost sales and be detrimental to your business image. A website that is not on responsive design is one that is guaranteed to lose visitors.

Mobile technology has changed the way consumers interact online; it is a no-brainer that a change to accommodate the online consumer is needed. According to a recently released Nielsen report, The New Digital Consumer, adults in the U.S. spent on average 34 hours per month using the mobile internet on smartphones. By comparison, they spend 27 hours on the PC internet. It’s safe to assume that a majority of your guests are probably looking at your site with the intention of booking products from their mobile device.

Inntopia’s responsive design allows your consumers to view and book from your website on all of their devices (phones, tablets, desktops), adjusting to the different screen sizes while keeping all of the site’s content intact. Your guests can search for their favorite products, view all photos and content, create itineraries, and confirm the sale from their mobile device during their few-and-far-between free minutes.

Getting started with Inntopia’s Responsive Commerce is easy and seamless with a few set-up steps that an Inntopia Account Manager can guide you through. Take advantage of integrated mapping; high-resolution images; fast sorting and filtering; easy customization with Bootstrap and jQuery; and integration with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Don’t waste another free minute; make the switch today to Inntopia’s Responsive Commerce!
