How Angel Fire Resort used Inntopia Commerce to Increase Cyber Monday Revenue by 134%.

From its humble beginnings as a small winter destination in 1966, Angel Fire has grown into an incredible four-season resort.

During the summer guests enjoy golf, fishing, ziplines, cycling, and hiking, while winter guests are treated to world-class skiing above 8,600’ with views of Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico.

The Challenge

But as their list of lodging and activities has grown, so has the complexity of booking a vacation. Angel Fire’s Ruth Worden said it this way:

“Before Inntopia, our guests had to book lodging and then go to another separate cart to book lessons, rentals, lift tickets, etc. As a resort that offers both lodging and activities, we wanted to allow our guests the convenience of booking their complete vacation in one transaction.”

They found the solution in Inntopia Commerce, which connects to their different back-end systems and allows all of their lodging and activity products to be sold side-by-side, both online and over the phone.

And once sold, every product from every itinerary is instantly synced back to the source back-end systems (the Property Management System and Point of Sale in this case) for seamless redemption.

The Results

Before going live on Inntopia Commerce, Angel Fire’s 2016 Cyber Monday promotion had performed well. Customer feedback had suggested, however, that a lower-priced 4-pack of tickets would better match customer demand than the 6-pack previously offered.

So in 2017, armed with their new Inntopia-powered booking engine and a new product to offer, Angel Fire saw more than double the sales vs. 2016 – Cyber Monday revenues increased a whopping 134%.

With great lodging options, a long list of activities, and a system that can handle it all, Angel Fire is in a perfect position to continue growing visitation, revenues, and their brand as one of New Mexico’s top destinations.
