Description/Job Mission Statement
Inntopia is seeking a Product Owner to work with high-performing, motivated, flexible Agile Scrum teams. We are looking for someone who can help walk the line between business requirements and technical implementation. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining the Scrum Team’s backlog, prioritizing work, and helping to drive the team’s release plans. You’ll be involved in the full project life cycle while working on an agile team to take requirements through design, development, QA, and implementation.
Required Expertise
- Building and refining the product backlog and working closely with the Scrum Master to ensure it is ready and actionable
- Writing and prioritizing User Stories
- Leading and Participating in the Scrum ceremonies including Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective and Daily Stand-Ups
- Facilitating the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done criteria for all stories
- Developing relationships with internal and external customers
- Inter-team coordination and collaboration by helping identify and track user story dependencies between scrum teams
- Learning from and sharing best practices with Product Owners on other teams
- Assisting with and coordinating production releases. This includes working with all stakeholders (inside and outside Engineering)
- Ability to build mockups or wireframes
- Perform User Acceptance Testing
- Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders on the prioritization of the product backlog, development progress, and delivery timelines
- Ability to assess impact of reported bugs
Software Tools
Familiarity with Agile tools and software applications:
- MS Azure DevOps (preferred)
Additional Beneficial Skills
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
- Travel/hospitality industry experience
- Experience with high-volume transactional accounting systems (accounts receivable and accounts payable)
- Experience with security protocols (i.e. OWASP Top Ten, PCI Compliance, and data encryption standards)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to connect and build trust with team members in a remote environment
