Inntopia hosted its three-day User Group Conference at Topnotch Resort May 2-5, 2016. The sold-out event brought together some 150 leaders of the travel industry that included suppliers, vendors and clients of Inntopia, the leading supplier of reservation-related technology and services to the travel industry.

“For several years, we’ve hosted events for our clients and partners at other world-class destinations in the US and Canada,” said Trevor Crist, CEO at Inntopia. “We were excited this year to bring the event to our hometown, and showcase what Stowe has to offer – great food, great music, and great people. And, of course, Heady Topper.”

The event kicked off with an open house at the Inntopia headquarters with food and drinks provided and served by PLATE. It was standing-room-only on Tuesday for the general sessions featuring presentations from Nick Sargent, president of SnowSports Industries America, Donna Carpenter, CEO of Burton Snowboards, and Jennifer Kimmich, co-founder of the Alchemist Brewery. Halley O’Brien was witty and fun as interviewer, and HomeAway co-founder Carl G. Shepherd wrapped up the line-up, adding deep knowledge, experience, and insights of the vacation-by-owner industry.

“We were very proud to present a lineup of influential guest speakers from within and outside the travel industry to offer new perspectives and fresh ideas to the attendees. Our team put a lot of hard work into the event, and it showed,” stated Trevor Crist.

On days two and three, attendees turned their attention to reviewing, sharing, and discussing best practices, and ways to maximize the efficiency of the Inntopia reservation platform. Inntopia suppliers, developers, support and technical staff, and product owners led the highly technical sessions. To that fact, Crist added: “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the incredible people who work at Inntopia, and a perfect occasion for our partners to get some valuable face-time with our team.”

Josh Panda and Some Girls, a Rolling Stones Tribute, rocked Tuesday night away at the Matterhorn Bar and Grill where members of the community and the Stowe Area Association, friends, and family were invited to join in the celebrations. Along with the donations collected at the door, a glove drive and a raffle, close to $3,000 was raised to benefit the Chill Foundation.
